Coronavirus (Covid-19) City Operations Update

Region 2 Enhanced Mitigation effective November 4, 2020. Preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total tests from October 26 through November 1 is 8.1%. On October 29, IDPH started reporting the statewide test positivity, which is the number of positive tests as a percent of total tests, in its daily releases. The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity from October 26 through November 1 is 9.7%.
On November 1, the Governor's Office and IDPH announced Region 2 has activated the state's tier 1 enhanced mitigations, effective Wednesday, November 4, due to the region's average test positivity rising above 8% for three consecutive days.

City Facilities
The Aledo Police Department is now back open to the public. One person is allowed in the Aledo PD lobby at a time.
Aledo City Hall open lobby hours, are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Limited number of visitors will be allowed in at a time.

City Services
All services requiring in-person visits or public counter assistance will require a mask while in City Hall.

Call Center
The City of Aledo complaint form will help us identify a problem in your area. Should a problem require urgent attention, please call us immediately. For a police emergency, dial 911. Otherwise, call 309-582-7241 during business hours, or call 309-582-2331 for police after business hours.
City Events
All City events planned for the for the summer months are limited. Please contact Aledo City Hall for additional information.
Parks
City parks have re-opened and social distancing is required. Central Park Pavilion rentals are not being completed at this time. If you have additional questions please contact Aledo City Hall.
City Meetings
Public attendance at City Council and committee meetings will be allowed with restrictions. Face coverings are required while attending a meeting. Any comments or questions about any matter on the agenda for a meeting may be submitted by email to the City Clerk at cityclerk@aledoil.org if unable to attend a meeting. Questions will be answered, and emails will be read verbatim (if requested) at the meeting indicated in the message, or, if it is deemed inappropriate to read an email verbatim, it will be summarized at the meeting.
