Aledo Multi-Use Path Construction

The City of Aledo will begin work on the Aledo Multi-Use Path along Route 17 which is a grant project through the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Project (ITEP) that provides eighty percent (80%) funding for the project. The multi-use path will run along the South Route 17 from SE 8th Avenue through SE 15th Avenue and provide a safe accessibility to high traffic businesses located near the intersection of 17/94. This multi-use path will be physically separated from the motorized vehicular traffic through a highway right-of-way open space barrier and can be used by all users such as pedestrians, bicyclists, skaters, and other non-motorized users.  The City of Aledo is expected to break ground on the construction of the path in July 2017.
