Spring Clean-Up to be held the week of April 26th

The Aledo City Council has established the dates for the 2021 Spring City-wide Clean-Up Days. The City will furnish collection services for large items placed at your curbside by 4:00 a.m. on Monday, April 26th.  One (1) pick-up truck load per household will be allowed. Prohibited items include: yard waste, brush, and limbs; automobile related items: oils / lubricants, batteries, tires and televisions.  Large items in excess of 50 pounds will also not be collected.  

Unwanted appliances or white good (refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, washer and dryer, etc.) can be picked up at your curbside throughout the year by purchasing an appliance tag through the City. The fee is $5.00 per appliance. Please stop by or contact City Hall at 309-582-7241 to request and pay for a tag.  Attach the tag to the appliance and set the appliance out on your regular scheduled garbage pick-up day.  An appliance without a tag will not be picked up.  This service is available year-round, not just during clean-up days.   

TVs are not considered an appliance, are not allowed in landfills and will not be picked up during the clean-up days. E-Cycle is the first (1st) and third (3rd) Thursdays of each month from 9:00 a.m.– Noon and 12:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
