Welcome to the Aledo Police Department website.  We use this site to provide information about the department, its officers, and the programs available to the community through the department.  We hope you find the resources presented here to be helpful and informative.  If you have any questions, please contact the department at (309) 582-2331.  Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Police service can be obtained 24/7 by calling that number.  In an emergency, always call “911.”

The Aledo Police Department provides a wide array of programs and services to our residents, businesses and guests.  Those services are offered through community – oriented policing strategies, problem – oriented policing programs, and professional uniformed patrol and crime prevention details. We strive every day to maintain the quality of life for our residents, to reduce crime and eliminate safety hazards in our community, and to enhance the experience of our guests.

Currently, there are six full-time officers, four part-time officers, an administrative assistant and a number of police volunteers who make this department function.  We are a part of this community. We depend on the close relationship we have with the community to help us provide the services, information and protection on which the City of Aledo depends.  We strive to provide fair enforcement, open information and friendly service to everyone who lives in, works in, or visits Aledo.
